A PAIR OF GILT-DECORATED BLUE-GROUND EWERS
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each blue-glazed, pear-shaped ewer raised on a flared foot and painted in gold on two sides with 'antiques', with a curved handle opposite a curved spout attached to the neck by an S-shaped strut, with silver cover; together with a café-au-lait-ground blue and white bowl, Kangxi period, the exterior decorated with four panels alternately of fan and leaf shape painted in underglaze blue with different flowers and reserved on a ground of pale café-au-lait color, the center of the interior with a medallion of insects flitting above peony and rocks below a diaper band at the rim
Ewers 8¾ in. (22.2 cm.) high with covers; bowl 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) diam. (3)
