A pair of Louis-Philippe ormolu-mounted red Boulle and ebonised armchairs
Circa 1845
Each with a tall padded back, surmounted by a winged female caryatid flanked by scrolling foliage, above a River God mask, the frame decorated with scrolling foliage, birds and dogs, above a padded seat, flanked to each side by a padded arm-rest with lion mask terminal, the apron centred by an Hermes mask, on four cabriole legs, headed to the front by an espagnolette, on hoof feet (2)
