A PAIR OF ORMOLU-MOUNTED CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE VASES, 19TH CENTURY
The vases of rouleau form, brightly enamelled in mirror image with a mounted dignitary, accompanied by three figures on foot, approaching his consort standing surrounded by female attendants, all in a continuous garden landscape with banners, trees and rockwork, the neck with rocks and foliage, and the shoulder with four lotus medallions on green trellis-pattern, the bases with underglaze blue six character marks, fitted as lamps with 'leaf and berry' ormolu stands and flat covers -- the vases 24 in. (61 cm.) high (2)
