Each bowl is potted with deep rounded sides rising to slightly flared rims, decorated in famille rose enamels with a bird perched on a branch of wisteria beside flowering branches of roses, the flowering wisteria extending over the rim and extending into the interior. Below the mouth rim is inscribed in iron red with the characters, Dayazhai, beside a Tian Di Yi Jia Chun seal mark, all on pale turquoise ground, with narrow gilt bands encircling the rim and top of the ring foot. The base bears the iron-red Yongqing Changchun mark.
