A PARIS PORCELAIN COMPOSITE DINNER-SERVICE (DIHL ET GUERHARD, DUC D'ANGOULEME'S FACTORY)
CIRCA 1800, RED STENCILLED DUC L'ANGOULEME AND GUERHARD ET DIHL MARKS, VARIOUS INCISED AND IMPRESSED LETTERS AND NUMERALS
Comprising an oval soup-tureen and domed cover with bud finial, a three-tiered dessert stand with entwined branch handle, an oval butter dish and cover with fixed elongated octagonal stand, two sauce boats with double rope-twist handles, ten various dishes, and fifty-six various plates, each piece painted and gilt with scattered cornflowers and hips within a border of trailing garland and cornflower sprigs enclosed by gilt-edged berried laurel garland borders and gilt rims, (some restored breaks, minor damage and slight wear to gilding)
