A planked and framed fully rigged 1:48 scale display model of the French armed topsail schooner La Jacinthe of circa 1823,
built by J. Brooks, with masts, yards, standing and running rigging and full suit of stitched linen sails with rope bindings and reefing points, anchors, catheads, belaying rails and pins, hatches, deck light, companionway, grating, tiller, two carronades and clinker built ship's boat in chocks, with bottom boards, thwarts and oars. The planked hull, finished in matt varnish with decorated transom and rudder, is mounted on two turned brass columns, glazed case. Measurements overall -- 27 x 35¾in. (68.5 x 90.8cm.).
