Arita Ware, Edo Period (18th Century)
Painted in enamels of red, green, yellow, aubergine and black over clear glaze with a bird perched on a branch of pomegranates and with a bird on a peony stem on the opposite side, also painted with a band of lappets and scrolling foliage at the shoulder and with four peonies around the neck
