BY THE GARDNER PORCELAIN FACTORY, MOSCOW, CIRCA 1830s
Realistically modelled and painted as a pilgrim, resting on a stick, wearing an unglazed brown robe and blue trousers, black belt and a hat, on a circular naturalistic base moulded with gilt scrolls, marked under base with impressed factory marks, also impressed with numeral ‘7’and inscribed with numeral ‘1’
8½ in. (21.6 cm.) high
