BY THE GARDNER PORCELAIN FACTORY, MOSCOW, CIRCA 1820-1830s
Realistically modelled and painted as a peasant in a dark red coat, magenta trousers, black boots and black hat, pushing a wheelbarrow loaded with a bundle of firewood formed as an inkwell with cover, on a rectangular naturalistic gilt-lined base, marked under base with blue underglaze factory mark
5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) high
