The Turkish Drawing Room was the most picturesque of Alexander II's appartments, conceived after a design by Monighetti. The room, in which the Emperor arranged a large collection of weapons from Egypt, Turkey and Persia was lavishly decorated in the Middle-eastern style with the fountain in the middle and verses from Koran painted on the doors and windows.
