Circular, decorated in the old Russian style, with red and green foliage and gilt strapwork, painted with cartouches incorporating the Imperial eagle on one side and the Imperial monogram of Grand Duke Konstantin on the other, marked under the base with blue cipher

Further details
Based on a design by Feodor Solntsev (1801-1892), the designer of the Kremlin Service, the service was made between 1848-1852. It was ordered on the occasion of the marriage of Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich to Alexandra Iussupovna, Princess of Saxe-Altenburg in 1848.
