A Rare .65 (Carbine-Bore) Flintlock Pattern 1756/81 Land Service Pistol Circa 1781
With 12in. (30.5cm.) barrel, Pattern 1777 lock (top jaw and screw replaced), walnut full stock (chipped and bruised, old worn holes, mainly on the fore-stock), correct crowned inspectors' numerals, brass mounts of 'Heavy Dragoon' pattern, and original brass-mounted ramrod, the butt with storekeeper's mark dated '178?' (iron parts varnished and with some surface pitting), King's proof marks
