A very similar bronze bell of comparable size from Fuling, Sichuan province, is illustrated by J. So in Eastern Zhou Ritual Bronzes from the Arthur M. Sackler Collections, The Arthur M. Sackler Foundation, 1995, p. 397, fig. 81.2, where it is dated 4th-3rd century BC. Another similar bell dated to the Warring States period is in the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C., acc. no. S1999.120.19.
