Southwestern China, Liao Dynasty, circa 10th Century
Seated on a lotus base over a waisted circular stand supported by four cabriole legs, wearing a long flowing robe draped across both shoulders, his arms raised above his head with his index fingers touching the base of his ushnisha, partly covered with a silvery green patina and with some gilding overall remaining
