A RARE CELADON-GLAZED CARVED BOTTLE VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The compressed body is well carved around the sides with two fierce three-clawed dragons leaping from a band of swirling wind-tossed waves. Above is a dragon modeled in high relief and applied to the tall neck where it descends from a decorative band carved below the mouth. The vase is covered overall with a glaze of soft sea-green color.
