A similar gold and silver inlaid ding and cover from Shaanxi Xianyang, which is dated to the 3rd century BC, is illustrated by J. So in Eastern Zhou Ritual Bronzes from the Arthur M. Sackler Collections, Arthur M. Sackler Foundation, Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, p. 61, fig. 106. Another, lent by C.T. Loo, is illustrated in the catalogue of The International Exhibition of Chinese Art, London, 1935-36, no. 391.
