A RARE LARGE POLYCHROME LACQUER CIRCULAR TRAY
SOUTHERN SONG-YUAN DYNASTY, 13TH-14TH CENTURY
The tray is constructed with a countersunk base rising to slightly curved sides with two raised bands, the mouth mounted with a metal rim. The interior is applied with red lacquer, the sides with green lacquer, and the base with brown lacquer.
