QIANLONG IMPRESSED SEAL MARK AND PROBABLY OF THE PERIOD
Of gu form, molded around the central section with a simplified taotie mask between leaf-shaped lappets on the flaring neck and foot, with a band of incised classic scroll beneath the everted rim

Lot Essay

Compare the similar white-glazed gu-form vase with Yongzheng (1723-1735) incised seal mark, rather than an incised Qianlong seal mark, illustrated in The Official Kiln Porcelain of the Chinese Qing Dynasty, Shanghai, 2003, p. 183.
