rectangular black tortoiseshell box with concave sides, the cover centred by gold rectangle chased with rosette and foliage on sablé ground, gold mounts chased with scrolling foliage and flowers, slightly raised incorporated thumbpiece chased with shell and scroll motifs, the lid with secret cover opening to display an erotic miniature depicting a soldier with his breeches around his knees and a partially clad lady on a green bed within gold réverbère mount
