The reeded rectangular back, seat, padded arms, and sides, covered in dark brown leather, the reeded scrolled arms with roundel terminals, on ring-turned part-reeded tapering legs with ball terminals, with brass caps and castors, with two squab buttoned-cushions

A considerably grander pair of bergères, but of similar general form with scrolled cornucopia arms and attributed to Gillows, was sold from Longleat, by the Longleat Chattels Settlement, Christie's, London, 13 June 2002, lot 420 (£237,650).
