The obverse with laureated profile portrait of Gustavus Adolphus, King of Sweden (reigned 1611-32), facing right, with black enamel inscription Gvstavs.Adol.II.D.G.Swe.Got.Wand.L.Rex around, reverse with portrait of Queen Maria Eleonora, facing left, black enamel inscription Maria.Eleonora.D.G.Sweco.Gotor.Wand.L.Reg. around, both sides later enamelled, the King with black and blue enamel cloak and green laurel wreath, the Queen with white enamel ruff and blue bonnet, with shaped suspension loop
