Early 20th Century
Rectangular with rounded corners and slightly domed lid, decorated with the figure of a young oxherd, rendered in gold takamakie, playing the flute, inlaid in aogai, while resting on an ox, worked in pewter with inlaid mother-of-pearl horns, the wicker basket to the left on the underside of the lid roiro-nuri ground and gold willow branches, fitted with inkstone and silver bird-form water dropper
