YANGZHOU SCHOOL, 1840-1890
The compressed pear shaped bottle is carved through the red glass overlay to the yellow ground on one side with Shoulao (the God of Longevity) riding on a flying crane followed by a bat and above his attendant who is loading a peach onto the back of his stag, and inscribed in relief seal script reading Airen xiansheng qingwan fushan ('pure plaything of Mr. Airen, mountain of bliss'). The reverse is decorated with a female immortal, a hoe over her shoulder suspending a basket containing a large peach.

2 5/8 in. (6 cm.) high, jadeite stopper
