This is a fine example of the Angkor Wat style, with very finely detailed ornaments and crisply delineated features. For the treatment of the pendant jewelry as a specific element of the style, compare with a torso from the James and Marilynn Alsdorf Collection, in P. Pal, A Collecting Odyssey, 1997, cat. no. 255, p. 195.
