A variation of the present model described as modèle à enfant terme is in the Musée du Louvre, Paris (ill. in P. Verlet, Les Bronzes dorés français du XVIIIè siècle, p. 89, fig. 92), and a closely related pair is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (ill. F.J.B. Watson, The Wrightsman Collection, vol.
