Each compressed inverted pear-shaped on four foliate feet with foliate terminals, with gadrooned, foliate and shell borders, the two foliage-wrapped scroll handles with central cartouche and cartouche terminals, the cover with rocaille and foliate ring handle and rocaille and scroll terminal, the plain liners with two small incurved reeded bracket handles, the bodies each engraved twice with a coat-of-arms, the covers engraved twice with two crests and a coronet, marked on bases, cover bezels, and base of liners

The arms are those of Bruce quartering Brundenell impaling Noel quartering Hill, for Charles, 2nd Earl of Ailesbury, later 1st Marquess of Ailesbury (1773-1856) and his first wife Henrietta Maria (d.1831), daughter of Noel, 1st Baron Berwick (d.1789). (3)
