Pierre-Joseph-André Viellard fils is recorded at Sèvres 1783-1793 as a painter of birds, flowers and patterns. His mark is similar to that of his father, André-Vincent Viellard père who is recorded working at the factory until 1790, the year the present cup and saucer was made.

Michel-Barnabé Chauvaux père is recorded at Vincennes and Sèvres 1752-1788 as a gilder.
