The porcelain and gilt decoration circa 1760, incised 19, the painting of later date
The irregular octafoil tray painted with a trophy of love on a yellow quatrefoil cartouche edged with garlands of pink roses linked at the angles with blue bows, the basin edged gilt with a band of rocaille foliate scrolls, diaper-pattern and seeded cartouches, the border with yellow drapery swags suspended by blue ribbons and single arrows and with garlands of pink roses suspended from the center of each drape, two hearts on a plinth reserved on a blue oval beneath each of the small lobes

The plateau 'Hébert' was made in two variant forms of which the more commonly found has eight lobes of equal size.
