Lot Essay

Many Catherine Rolands lived in Pennsylvania in the 19th century. This is most likely to be Catherine Mary Roland, who was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. She was married in 1849 to John Nicolas Schneider, who had immigrated to the United States from Germany.
