Cyrillic maker's mark 'U.G.', Moscow, 1891
Of traditional form, on ball feet, the square body with applied apron of stylized foliate strapwork, the hinged cover engraved with geometric strapwork, the back in the form of a traditional izba centering an applied window enameled in red, white and blue and chased en trompe l'oeil to simulate wood grain, with a vacant oval cartouche, all beneath a gabled roof surmounted by two birds flanking a stylized flower, marked under base, on cover bezel and on reverse, also with French import mark
