Of traditional form, with stepped bracket feet, the tapering oblong base chased and engraved en trompe l'oeil to simulate wood planks bound with branches, the back with pierced and serrated border centering an applied medallion, the hinged cover centering a medallion enclosing a six-pointed star, marked under cover and base
