The lampada with a pierced rim cast and chased with foliate scrolls and suspending tassels at intervals, the lower rim engraved in Russian 'Saint Mary Magdalene', the lower part applied with cherub-shaped fittings, the upper part fitted with a glass candle-holder, with three suspension chains, marked throughout; the Easter egg depicting the Holy Myrrh-Bearer Mary Magdalene, Equal to the Apostles, in a landscape, the reverse with ciselé gilt sunburst, apparently unmarked, in the original velvet-lined fitted leather and wood case
The lampada: 35 3/8 in. (90 cm) long; the Easter egg: 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm) high
