Rectangular, the cover with rococo scrollwork and turquoise, blue and black enamel strapwork, inset with two rectangular polychrome enamel floral plaques, the sides and base with engine-turning and rose garlands, the oval cover painted with polychrome enamel floral bouquet, opening to a pierced foliate field and hatch for the bird, the bird with iridescent plumage, the back with hinged key compartment, the fusee movement playing four tunes, the case inscribed Charles Bruguier fabriquant de pièces à oiseaux fait et répare touts espaice de pièces mécaniques grand prés 518 à genève, also stamped 202, in original tortoiseshell case, with key
