SECOND INTERMEDIATE PERIOD/NEW KINGDOM (1640-1070 B.C.)
The figure wearing a pointed hat, right arm on lap and left hand with two wrist bands raised against the cheek, legs outstretched with feet curled up, five incised circles on the back, 2 in. (5 cm.) high; an Egyptian terracotta torso of a steatopygous concubine figure, with tattoo around the buttocks and above the pubic triangle; the upper part of a female figure with elaborate tripartite long braids with punched decoration and punched double strand of beads; another two upper parts each with elaborate tripartite wig; a 'plank' broad-hipped female figure, hands under her breasts, incised pubic triangle; a terracotta headless figure of a steatopygous concubine figure with tattooed body; another similar; two other upper parts of female figures, all Second Intermediate Period/Early New Kingdom, circa 1648-1493 B.C.; a turquoise glazed composition 'fecundity' figure wearing long tripartite wig, her hands lying by her side; and the upper part of another with bright blue and dark purple detail of her shoulder length 'bob', arm-bands, nipples and pendant(?), both Middle Kingdom, circa 1850-1668 B.C., 5¼ in.
