The tall waisted vase with spreading foot and flaring mouth, painted around the upper body depicting figures offering gifts to an official as he stands beneath an umberella, the central section with four lotus medallions seperated by two stylised forms of the fu character, the lower section with pendant plantain leaves, all between an incised classic scroll band at the mouth and double concentric bands at the foot
