A TWO PANEL LACQUER SCREEN TRIMMED WITH IVORY, each panel decorated in Shibayama style with cockerels, hens and chicks among chrysanthemums on a kinji ground above smaller panels of cartouches of flowerheads on a hirame ground, the reverse decorated in gold, silver, iroe togidashi, hirame and scattered kimpun with birds in flight and perched on the branch of a blossoming tree in the moonlight above panels of maple leaves among swirling waters, the ivory trimmings carved with ho-o, dragons, flowerheads and geometric patterns, applied silvered hinges and brackets decorated with scrolling foliage (some inlay missing), signed Yasuharu, late 19th century
