Rectangular box, the cover, four sides and base inset with gold panels engraved with a scalework pattern and encrusted with views of rustic village houses in tinted shell, mother-of-pearl and hardstones, the slightly bulging cagework mounts with incorporated slightly raised thumbpiece engraved with trailing flowers on a diagonally striated ground, with wavy flange
