The present stand is of the same form as the stands in the Liechtenstein Service, and although the decoration is closely related, the present lot appears to be from a different service. The Liechtenstein Service, and the service presented to the Benedictine Abbey of Sankt Blasien both have variations in the borders, and both contain later supplementary pieces (which are marked), as with the present lot. For a discussion of this and the Trivulzio Hunting Service, see Katharina Hantschmann, 'The Art of Dining' in Meredith Chilton et al., Fired by Passion, Vienna Baroque Porcelain of Claudius Innocentius du Paquier, Stuttgart, 2009, Vol. II, pp. 835-843 and Vol. III, pp. 1274-1276, nos. 227-237.
