A WHITE JADE 'CAT AND BOY' GROUP
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The rounded stone is carved and pierced in the form of a boy with shaven head holding a lotus leaf and lingzhi sprigs in one hand, and the tail of a recumbent cat on the other hand. The stone is of a pale celadon tone with minor milky speckling.
