A WHITE JADE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER

The vessel is of compressed globular form, carved with Buddhist lion handles with loose rings, and is raised on three short cabriole feet issuing from masks, a band of elaborate taotie masks encircles the body, the high domed cover is decorated with a similar taotie band below a carved and pierced finial formed by a dragon head.
