The hood with later flat top and later gilt capped spiral twist columns to the front door, glazed side panels, with convex throat mouldings inlaid to the front with flowers and leaves, line inlaid panels to the sides of the trunk and plinth, the trunk door finely inlaid with a flowering urn on a pedestal with volute feet and with further flowers below, with lenticle and with later moulded frame, bordered by running scroll marquetry, the plinth with conforming border to a panel of floral marquetry and raised on later bun feet, the 11in. square brass dial with cherub mask and foliate spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with elaborate cross half hour and cross half quarter hour markers, signed Cha Goode London, matted centre with silvered subsidiary seconds ring, ringed winding holes and square date aperture with engraved border, later blued steel hands, the five pillar movement with anchor escapement and inside countwheel strike on later bell; case associated to movement and dial
