PHILADELPHIA, 1765-1775

With a rounded seat and almost identical embellishments on the turnings, this Windsor armchair is closely related to two examples in the collections of Winterthur Museum and the Nantucket Historical Association and attributed by Nancy Goyne Evans to Philadelphia, circa 1764-1770.
