Lot Essay

The Lange 1 Tourbillon model was in production between 2000 and 2003 and made in a limited edition of 250 examples in pink gold and 150 in platinum.

The watch is the world’s first wristwatch combining a tourbillon, a patented oversized date, twin barrels for the three days’ power reserve and a progressive power reserve indicator. The tourbillon consists of 72 pieces (the entire movement being composed of 378 parts), and is suspended between two diamond endstones.
