A Landscape Painting of Harper's Ferry

The landscape is virtually identical to a 1862 photograph taken by Matthew Brady of the Musket Factory ruins at Harper's Ferry (Harpers Ferry National Historic Park, Catalog No. hf-0030). Both the photograph and the landscape offered here show the Potomac River with a Union Army pontoon bridge under construction.
