PORTRAIT OF THE LAKAWANNA FAMILY CHILDREN

拍品專文

The children in this painting have, by tradition, been referred to as the Lackawanna family, largely in part because of the presence of the Lackawanna Railroad round house in the upper left corner of the canvas. The Lackawanna Railroad round house was located in the Lackawanna Valley and was depicted by George Inness in 1856.
