The case of typical form, the arched hood surmounted by carved giltwood figural finials, the trunk door with lenticle mount depicting Father Time, the arched brass dial with silvered arched chapterring with matted brass centre, a subsidiary seconds ring and aperture for day of month, with cast seasonal spandrels to the corners, the arch with silvered subsidiary rings for 'strike/not strike' and 'chime/not chime', tune selection ring and signature plaque signed Daye Barker London, the eight-pillar brass four-train movement with anchor escapement and hour, half hour and quarter strike on a bell to the back, the musical movement horizontally mounted to the back of the movement, the 21 cm. long pinned brass barrel playing six tunes with 31 hammers on 13 bells; pendulum, four brass weights, door key, winding key
