One side of the lid with a draped seated female, holding a fan in her left hand, looking back and reaching toward a hare; the other side with a seated nude youth, a filleted thyrsos in his left hand, looking back and reaching with his right hand, a tympanum in the field; tendrils and a palmette in between, a band of wave on the overhanging rim, four adorsed palmettes on the knob handle, details in added white; S's in added red on the rim of the bowl
