AN ATTIC BLACK GLAZED POTTERY KANTHAROS, the body with decorative panel on either side containing bands of lozenge chequerboard motif, overlapping petals, ivy leaves, and a border of vertical strokes above and below, details heightened in white, ring and dot motif in centre of base, repaired -- 4¾ in. (12 cm.) high; and a similar glaux, with additional palmettes below the handles, the panels with overlapping petal motif surmounted by a trail of ivy leaves -- 3¼ in. (8.4 cm.) high, both circa 450 B.C. (2)
