ATTRIBUTED TO THE PAINTER OF BOLOGNA 417, CIRCA 440-430 B.C.
The tondo with two youths, each partially draped in a mantle, standing with one arm akimbo, the youth to the right leaning on a cane, both with a fillet in added red, kalos in the field to the left, framed by a band of meander and saltire squares; each side of the exterior with a draped winged female, her hair bound in a sakkos, standing between two draped youths, the youth to the right leaning on a cane, both youths wearing fillets in added red, kalou and kaloi in the field to the left; palmettes below and flanking the handles, the underside of the foot reserved but for a black band
