AN ATTRACTIVE ART DECO ENAMEL AND DIAMOND NECESSAIRE, BY VAN CLEEF & ARPELS
Of rectangular outline, the black enamelled central band enhanced by rose and baguette-cut diamond geometric motifs, to the fluted royal blue enamelled borders, with rose-cut diamond trim, the sides decorated with a series of red rose and green enamelled foliate motifs against a blue ground, with diamond collet and yellow enamelled accents, opening to reveal a fitted mirror, lipstick holder and two covered compartments, the reverse opening to reveal a cigarette case and covered match compartment, mounted in 18k gold, (mirror damaged), circa 1925, 3¾ x 1¾ x 7/8 ins., with French assay marks
